It's somewhat watchable, but there's an underlying feeling the entire time of it being very carefully crafted with a certain narrative. The two guys try to pass as humble dudes trying to serve a dying town out of sheer reverence for its history (even though there are so many towns just like it), while really the TV show is the product, not the team, and they want to create a merchandising empire.
huh... sounds like they unintentionally created their own version of The Curse. I'm a little sick of 'nice guy' Ryan Reynolds and his business ventures.

Just to be clear, at no point in the show is this stuff shown or mentioned. On the surface it's a "feel good stories of the fans" documentary series and I imagine much of the audience likes it for that reason.
But if you read between the lines...

Feeding into your theory it also came along fresh off the popularity of Ted Lasso..

I am very much enjoying A Murder at the End of the World on Hulu.

Five episodes have been released so far, there will be seven in total.

Nice! I need to see this.

The Garden, on Max, is kind of interesting, for many reasons. The production is totally "Discovery Channel" style, which is the only real drawback.

It's a tough one: lots of detestable characters and cringiness with little humorous payoff. Will proceed though..
Really, really enjoying The Curse. Uncomfortable to watch in so many ways.

Once Upon A Time in Iraq is incredible - think it might be on Apple TV, but I watched it on BBC iplayer.

Just want to reiterate these exist: https://bflix.gg/ https://sflixz.to/

They're full of pirated content from every platform, all located in one conventient, centralised place. As such you should avoid them because visiting them would be illegal.

They have a massive and bizarre catalog that runs the gamut of B-movies, documentaries, erotica but also award circuit art house films, classic European and Asian Criterion type stuff, and classic 80's goofball comedies.

I finally caught up on Killing of a Sacred Deer (not fully successful but memorable and delightfully weird), and The Green Knight (I thought it was awesome, took some pages from The Northman or The Last Duel- like wait, Disney was wrong Medieval times were gritty!).
what a resource. Unfortunately no use if you're in the UK. Anyone know of anything similarin Europe/UK?

Netflix

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget
Out tomorrow, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it'll be pretty good.
