I just got back from seeing it.

I loved it!

Definitely way better tahn I thought it would be. I thought it would be "bad" good and campy, but it was just a great action/disaster movie, and genuinely tense.

The inventive snake bites were great, but I really like all of the non-snake ways in which some people died....jesus, that heel in the face?! Fuck, that looked soooo painful....

Very funny too....

My god this fucking film ruled.

Everyone was in it. The girl from Peep Show and Clueless, the nerdy dude from High Fidelity, the cop from Will and Grace (erm, so I hear), Kenan from Kenan and Kel...

When the dude from Anchorman came on me and my brother simultaneously went "Whammy!"

Snakes biting tits, cocks, going up a fat birds skirt, eating heads, biting eyes, bursting out of mouths, it was awesome.

The cinema wasn't packed at all but I went to the smallest one, I imagine the huge Warner Village was packed. I got a shiver of excitement when I went up to the girl to buy a ticket and said "Snakes on a plane".

I don't think I've ever laughed so much in a cinema before. It had loads of bits that could have been in-jokes and references from my friends. I think at one point I actually shouted SPORK! Everything the black dudes said was great. Like the one guys reaction to have the venom sucked out of his ass buy the steward and then seeing the girl do it, "Now thats what I'm talking about!" So funny! So predictable! So good!

There was gore, comedy, action, horror, thrillernessity (?) and pretty much everything. Most of the characters were kinda shitty but then it had nothing to do with the characters, it was all about the snakes.

My memory is shitty but there was so much good stuff and I laughed so many times. The dog death! The playstation pilot! The dude pissing on a snake! My brother from another mother!

What was great too was the sounds in the background. People off-camera shouting "Ow, you fucking snake" or words to that effect.

Overall: 179/10.

Do to this review, I will definately see this movie.

At various points throughout the film I found myself tapping my feet on the floor with excitement. I think my brothers girlfriend probably thinks I'm weird now.

Oh and the racist fake-out thing was awesome. I have a feeling things are gonna come back to me gradually over the next couple of days.

I was a little disappointed in this.

It would have been better if they had let Ronny Yu direct it.

I did laugh a lot, but felt they missed a lot of opportunities.

I just got back. My old lady and I howled!

The best (movie) part was the boa constrictor chomping the pooch and then the British guy. Or maybe it was the snake on the tit. Or even the snake on the dick, which led me to my worst joke of the evening: "Well, there's one less snake on the plane already."

The best (non-movie) part was the girl in front of us in line to buy tickets who said "I'd like two for Motherfucking Snakes on a Motherfucking Plane."

I give it a week, though, before the extent of the "Snakes on a Plane" conversations at school deteriorate into "Dude, did you see it!?", "Yeah!", "Awesome!" and then awkward silence.

I beg to disagree! They managed to cover all the ground needed for a plane with snakes on it. The pre-snake character developement was right there in the pocket. The way they developed during the snaking also was perfect. Just the right amount of sloppy hurriedness on the characters. Just the right kinds of character.

Last night, Brad W. and I got a beer. We were going to see SoaP, but logistics were against us. Over a cold High Life, we decided that the only expectation that we should have of this movie was:

It will be projected in such a manner that we will be able to view it.

This way, no expectation can ruin what we already cherish as a great title and excited anticipation.

This afternoon, Kerble, Bumble, and I went to go see it.

I have a new statement to make about it:

In this movie, there were a lot of mutherfucking snakes on that motherfucking plane. And I am mutherfucking glad I saw it.

I mean, it was a horrible movie, overall. Mediocre acting and poor writing/dialogue all over the place. But I laughed consistently and genuinely, I jumped in my seat, and I covered my eyes at some of the gore. I really am shocked at how happy I am this movie exists. I can't stress enough how badly I want to see it again - at the Brew n View.

Snakes on a Plane is fucking great.
