The Audio Technica AT4060 tube mic - I wasn’t really looking for one of these but I was looking for a nice vocal mic and saw this listed for a good price.
Any thoughts on either of them?
I don't have any direct experience with this mic, but I've had an AT-4040 for years and it has been an excellent mic for recording pretty much everything (have also used a AT4033). The 4040 can be a little harsh in the high end, which I'm guessing the 4060 will not be. Both have very similar super flat frequency responses, while the 4060 has a much, much more rejecting on the back end - which might come in really handy. The 4060 also has some roll off on the highs that is likely going to sound very forgiving.
I bet it's a nice sounding mic.

I have used the at3060.
While I'd guess that it will be a step up from that?
The at3060 was perfectly solid even if it was never a mind blower.

Finally getting a dedicated
sub-kick mic. They're cool but never considered them to be $200-300 cool. I think for live use, might be nice to send it straight to the subs.
also mentioned in other thread,
alternate clip for MD421.

You know that's getting a campout sticker over it immediately after unboxing.

Hey that looks decent, thanks for the heads up! I have a speaker that I've been intending to turn into a sub mic for oh maybe 12 years? I couldn't bring myself to pay a lot for the Yamaha sub mic if I can build one myself, but this $120 unit is a lot easier to justify.

Yup - did sound for a band where the drummer brought their own & liked the results so did a little looking on Reverb.
Apparently this one started life as a kickstarter from some time back. I have always considered sub-kicks to be outrageously overpriced for what they are, so this seems like a reasonably-priced solution. Will report back asap!

$20 fake AT4033a shock mount. Seeing as the real deal AT mounts are going for $100, I figured it was worth the gamble

Just grabbed a Neumann TLM103 from CL for $350. Guy said he used it once for a project and now he needs the money for holiday shopping. I believe him. Looks brand new, with the original wood case, mount, and paperwork.

Cool. Please share your impressions once you've put it to work.
Holy shit I just realized what a deal that is. You could double your money on Reverb in like ten seconds.
