Check out this video / plugin starring the homey Matt Engstrom aka FM matte rockin' a TORLAX shirt!
It's a plugin version of an obscure Shure limiter and looks cool. I just downloaded the demo version, will share my results and buy the full version if I like it.

So after a few viral videos of Josh Homme (QOTSA) blabbing about how much he loves his bog standard Peavey solid state practice amp, and how it made so many key guitar tones for them, Peavey has gone and reissued the model under a new name. It looks like they're actually still fairly cheap which is good, cause I would have lost my mind if the $50 practice amp became the Homme Custom for $500. Still, I think $30 at a pawn shop could get some random Fender/Crate/Peavey/Gorilla solid state practice amp from the 90's that sounds broken in a charming way if you crank it up.

I smiled hard when I saw this. haven't seen Matt in a long time and he rules the most. Level Loc is also pretty cool and I've always wanted one. Probably get the plugin though since I've turned away from out of the box processing for the most part.
