Sadly, it was one of those "you can see yourself doing it as it happens and knowing it's gonna suck balls" events.
Anyway, I think I tore a muscle in my left elbow.
Jeez, Chris, I hope you can get that checked out.

lips on the ice = NO FUN.
I don't think it needs to get checked out.
My arm is stiff as shit and sore as shit, but it doesn't seem like it's something that ice and heat won't naturally fix.
So I was wrong.
Called out of work and went to the hospital.
Turns out I have a fracture in my elbow.
I have to go see an orthopedic specialist within the next few days.

I am glad you went to the doctor.
I had a greenstick fracture in my radius when I was a kid, but didn't know (I banged it, it swelled up, etc.) until about 3 months later - by which time it had already healed up incorrectly.
I am glad this will not happen to you.

On my way to work this morning, I came to the traffic lights at the edge of the park. On the other side of the road was a thick set young man who was taking a photo of the (deserted - it's Christmas) road junction. This didn't seem very unusual; it's near the university, and you never know what might pass for art these days.
As I crossed the road, it became clear he was going to be speak to me. He looked Danish and had a German accent, and held out a copy of the Daily Mirror.
"Excuse me," he said. "This traffic light, it is not working. So. I would like to take a photograph of you with today's newspaper, with the date, so I have a photo of the traffic light."
I grasped his meaning and twice posed gormlessly with the paper and the traffic light before it changed (only the red signal wasn't working). He thanked me and we separated.
I can only imagine he is going to send the photo in to the Highways department with a complaint about this failed signal. Since I work in the same building for technically the same overall department as Highways, I hope his case isn't prejudiced when my mug shows with his angry missive.

I got home at 2:45 last night, and spent 45 minutes unwinding by watching Futurama.
How I got to work on time this morning is a mystery to me.
The director of the school just walked in, wearing a red lumberjck jacket and matching hat. Also: Crocs.

Yesterday I got a card from
one of the best clients on the planet containing a good-sized check. It wasn't a payment for a project, just a "thanks for working with us this year" gift. First-rate people, these.
