Probably scar tissue from a lifetime of bronchitis is the running guess. Have spent the last year having multiple blood tests, CTs, massive courses of ABs, you name it. If they cut this fucking thing out and I get picture of it, I'll post it here.
Fucking Noddy and their persistence. BE GONE YA BUGGER

Was treated to a VERY GOOD high energy rock and roll show. Some of those songs, especially American Ruse given the original production are just so good at full volume. Wayne is great, the smile on his face the whole time was great. I've seen people half his age put 1/10th the effort in. His band is excellent. I would not miss this tour.

What I would give to be that guy again. Laying on a hospital couch while my spouse tries to sleep after the third round of lab work. Biopsy this morning but I saw the size of the chest mass in the X-rays and how much the neck lump has grown in just a week, don’t know how this can’t be the assumed lymphoma. How do you be the tough one for them :(

Fingers crossed we can joke about our noddy

I'm working with a revamped version of Euclid's Elements, and this is what happens.

You start with a collection of definitions, axioms, postulates. Many of these appear so obvious as to not even warrant taking note of. Several times more they appear to be enumerating every possible application of something in ways that are not even concretely conceivable, and for this reason similarly do not appear to warrant memorizing.

But then you get to excercises which require you to make use of some unknown particular of these. The definitions, axioms and so on - the set of tools and methods allowed to you, the ways you are allowed to combine them; are few enough to constrict you in the ways you can go about solving the problems, but numerous enough to not be easily surveyable. Each time I am confronted with a problem, I am not able to pull the tools out of my bag, put them in front of me and ask: Which one of these are the right one for the job? Instead it's like having walked into a hardware store and had the owner explain to me every tool on display, many of which I only dimly grasp as to their use and relative importance. What was that axiom again? What did they say about that particular shape? Go back and reread.

It's frustrating and not very enjoyable.

Working on picking up an 82 Tercel from a private buyer way out west... I have family that lives close by and can pick it up and store it while I arrange to get it moved, but they're not available for a couple weeks. Asking the seller if they can hold it for a couple hundred bucks... very nervous. They're becoming hard to find and my current car is in need of serious TLC or it will fall apart. Been considering buying something cheap and disposable, but with used car prices right now it makes more sense to just get what I really want, y'know?
