You're absolutely right. I did some more reading and this revision is actually not that unusual. I had to turn to some trusted data wonks cause that's not my background. It is less than a 1% shift in employment statistics and reveals more about the rigors of the revision process and the challenges of census data.

If anything, the sense that it's wildly unprecedented (thanks media) is ammo for Trump against the BLS. There you have it, I'm part of the problem.

Or testing their willingness to respond? Similar things have happened before but this is the first time drones were shot down.

Since the war started in 2022, there have been several incidents of Russian drones entering the airspace of states bordering Ukraine, including Poland and Romania, but they have so far avoided shooting them down.

Officials have cited the physical danger that such actions could cause and a desire to avoid an escalation in tensions between Russia and NATO.

We were so fucking lucky that that bomb didn't go off. This is one of the most populated Zagreb neighborhoods, with probably most expensive per square meter prices as well.
