I know there are bigger problems but my Dad has a 102 degree fever after visiting here this weekend. Could've gotten it on the plane trip back with its several delays but still.. not out of the woods here. My office is also closed after someone who went in there tested positive, and barely anyone goes in because it's optional. Be careful out there folks.

Just back from bronchoscopy and biopsy. Persistent cough for over two years, nodule in lung. Its name is "noddy". We go everywhere together. Probably scar tissue from a lifetime of bronchitis is the running guess. Have spent the last year having multiple blood tests, CTs, massive courses of ABs, you name it. If they cut this fucking thing out and I get picture of it, I'll post it here.
NOT cancer. Biopsy results all clear. Thank fuck

I was supposed to see Modest Mouse on Tuesday, but it got postponed due to weather. So I bought a ticket to see Animal Collective on Saturday, and they just announced they're cancelling the rest of their tour b/c two of the guys in the band have Covid.
This has not been my week for shows.

Note from my (at-times-trivial) existence: Over a month ago I got one of them thair Squier Classic Vibe Telecasters recommended in another thread, a white blonde one made in Indonesia. Read what others were saying about them elsewhere as well, to make sure it'd be a good bet. This turned out to be the case. Would've felt comfortable playing out with it as is, if such an occasion were lined up.
Instead though I've decided to give it some mods. Nothing as dramatic as a B-bender, but several tweaks (new pickups, new pick guard, new bridge, new pots and 3-way switch, new locking tuners, and custom neck plate with my dog's face on it). ANYWAY, I installed a couple of these things myself, but have been waiting over a month now to get the rest in place. My guy couldn't get to it the week I asked, then he went on vacation for two weeks, then it had to enter a queue. Going on five weeks now, but I'm expecting to get it back soon *fingers crossed*. Looking forward to it.
