Jeremiah's brother Adam was on KEXP last night (starting around 4PM PST if anyone wants to listen to the archive) and said that he was diagnosed in September of last year but still wanted to do as much of the Lonesome Crowded West 25 year anniversary tour as possible before starting chemo. Really seems like this took his family by surprise, as all reports were that he had a good chance of kicking it.djimbe wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:09 amone of my oldest and closest friends has been playing next to Jeremiah for almost 10 years now and this happened real fast and everyone in the band is struggling to make sense of it. My buddy says he was "a real sweetheart". And yes, too young. He was at least 12 years younger than me and Benlosthighway wrote: Sun Jan 01, 2023 9:41 amThe dude played on The Lonesome Crowded West when he was 20. Goddamn.. and he's much younger than I would have expected on all fronts.
My wife and I saw them in Seattle just before Thanksgiving and they were amazing. Totally shocked someone could play a 90+ minute set with that level of intensity with all that going on in his life.
