#37 is coming along- body is getting clear coated this week, frets in, polishing this weekend. Likely 2 weeks out.
#38 is coming along- Body is finished, neck will get fretboard tomorrow- Have to rework my pickguard template at bit.
#39 will be a 34" bass. Just getting started on the body. I'll be 'rehousing' a 30" bass VI in the exact same shape for the same customer. will be going to Portugal for a couple weeks at the start of the new year, so my goal is to have all of these complete by then and be able to start on a fresh batch of builds when I get home.

#37 is done. 8 pounds. sounds killer. I tried this Guyker bridge that is along the lines of the schaller d3 I've been using- really pleased, and saved the customer some money.

Just did a longer form interview with Spencer Lull. He is the son of Mike Lull, the legendary builder and repair tech. We talk about how he came to take over after his father's passing, their philosophy of repair and the trials and tribulations of running a Plek machine. He is a really cool person.

And also- I'm going to have to change some business practices. I'm going to need to simplify the number and types of builds and cease doing some of the 'design from scratch' custom stuff. There are a bunch of reasons, but most of it has to do with me keeping my sanity. I hope that doesn't bum anyone out too much.

I really enjoyed this, Chris. Seems like a good dude, and the format/length works well. With so much "content" these days, I find myself desperately wanting the interviewer to shut the fuck up and let the interviewee have some space to work, and I thought this did that really well.
