It's FM zorg who said he was unaware of Kirk. I am all too familiar with Turning Point and its acolytes. I believe Zorg's point is that if you aren't online you can afford to be ignorant of harmful groups like TP and the racism, homophobia, and misogyny they foment.

I see where your confusion lies, Jeff. I was calling out the privilege of others who can afford to be ignorant of Kirk.
Guilty as charged...but let's be fair that sadly...
racism, homophobia, and misogyny
...is not unfamiliar to any of us, and Mr. Kirk seemed like a particularly milquetoast MAGA mouthpiece, of which there seem to be thousands. But I get that, because I can pass, it is a privilege to not actively track the latest assemblage of ghoulish influencers, and who is taking the pole position now. I don't know if I could, really.

Wow, I didn't know Jacobin still existed.

Yeah, sure, people can be fired for just about any reason.
That 80% of the article is “killing people is bad” is kind of hilarious. It’s basically a long caveat that murder=bad with a “let’s not forget he spent his entire adult life making vulnerable people’s lives miserable for money.”

Just to clarify, murder, bad.

This recent piece/interview is great:

We haven't even mentioned / touched on the recently revealed Navy Seal murders in North Korea under the first Trump admin. Wild story, sick.

Then there's this, which I haven't managed to more than skim yet:

I heard about this, there's a Chapo extras episode that talks about this. It's from 2019. It's fucking awful. But also, not surprsing. They ask the great question of, how many fuckups does the US Military have like this per year? I'm sure it's more than one.

I'll give you one; he was a harmful person who will now do no more harm. You can speculate all you like about how other bad people will do bad things in his name, but that's going to happen either way, and correlation is not causation.
