I just saw the video of Charlie Kirk's widow leaning over Charlie's casket and caressing and kissing his embalmed hand. WTF is wrong with these people? Other than everything. Quick pivot into taking over his grift, an astroturfed "grassroots" movement started by a billionaire.

There is no real debate to be had with someone who believes that Christianity should be the rule of law. That’s kind of the end of the story. People really should have stopped debating this absolute freak once he made his opinion clear. I still don’t understand what the fuck he’s trying to say with his establishment clause bullshit that supported his case. Not fully sure he did either.

Just because I'm in the death care industry, can you elaborate on this a bit? I do not want to put words in your mouth, but it seems like you are implying that her actions when she was with her husband's body were performative and public so that she can continue to profit from Kirk's cottage industry of hate. If I am wrong, that's okay, but I ask the question with sincerity.

My old hometown on WGN News, site of an ICE raid. They were three blocks from the house where I grew up.

Fuck this administration.

Fuentes is getting far, faaaaaar more publicity because of this shooting than he ever would have had. It's worse than lindsey graham level sucking

I guess whatever point I made is a guy gets killed on camera - it galvanizes the crazy right in a way that nothing else could. You can say it would have happened anyway, but that's speculation. What's happening now with the extreme right because of this shooting sucks more than what was happening the week before it.

I was on a packed intercity train in Germany and there was a girl sitting on the floor, literally just flicking through what I assume was TikTok for over an hour. Almost without pausing. Then last week there was an Underground strike in London. I also walk to work but there was a massive uptick in Lime Bike use, like the streets were flooded. I literally saw on multiple occasions “young people” cycling at speed while staring into their phones and scrolling.
that's what i've been shouting. once you notice, you'll start to see it everywhere.
i don't think i'm being paranoid when i say kids need to be more vigilant. seems pretty straightfwd to me!

oooh nice banner there.

It’s all part of the grift. Same reason they’ll be Kirk mugs and full body pillows for sale at CPAC next year.

The British right have the same grift going on. At the Reform Party conference there was endless merch opportunities. My personal favorite so far was Farage’s Red, White and Blue gin. It’s so indicative of how the British far right is just a Costco* version of the American right.

* we have Costco here now…
