Doesn't he use a Carvin with dual input jacks? Not a hybrid, per se, but effects a similar range of sound.
Well it's been a little over a year now since they moved out of the practice space, and I haven't seen or heard anything from them since, but at that time anyway, Todd was playing a Carvin guitar with two bass strings on it, and two output jacks. I have no idea if he's doing something different as of 1.25 years ago, so...

Al's the only non-tar vocalist on a tar record, and as of right now, that seems like high praise. I would add that Al was the vocal highliight of that album, too, also.

Agreed.
You know on wedding registries, how afterward, it lists who got you what, so you can send thank you cards? For some reason, the towels we got were listed from
Mrs. Shippy's Son
as if the dude weren't adorable enough already.

looks like there's plans for midwest/northeast dates in January of 2007.
doesn't mean it won't change, but that's the "word".
make of that what you will.

There was a car in the ditch by my house last night. Nearly on it's side! Lotsa snow here in the northwest. Downright ugly driving conditions.
Anyway, I pulled over and a guy poked his head out of the driver's side window. I asked if he was ok. He said he was and that no cab or tow truck would be available for 4-6 hours. Seeing as it was pretty cold, I offered to take him to his house which was a couple miles away. I then realized that he had his girlfriend and their friend with him.
The driver had a huge, diamond earing in one ear and never told me his name. (Actually, I didn't ask). His girlfriend introduced herself as LaTisha and the guy in the back took off his ipod and said his name was Tyrone. (The driver referred to him as "Brandon" once in the truck though......strange).
We all got into my truck (my first ever and I don't think I'll ever go back to a standard "car") and it was packed really tight. I do have those little seats behind the two main ones, though.
Anyway, once we got in the truck I had Shorty's "Fresh Breath" ep playing at a fairly "arousing" volume level. I let it play continuously while the unnamed guy navigated home while the snow poured down. Tyrone and LaTisha never said a word in the back.
Al Johnson is a god-damned genius.

I saw Todd's band, the T & A Lounge, at the Hideout a few weeks ago. He plays guitar and sings. He is very entertaining. Rob Lowe played the bass guitar. There was also a man playing drums, and a girl playing keyboard.
