one time at a party, people were laughing (at me?) and saying my name loudly and in a ridiculous way and doing this hand gesture kind of thing that looked like them opening a book. i did not start, condone or excite the conversation, but one day a couple of weeks later i wanted to make a new screen name. the book of kevin was what came out. i've stuck with that one until about two weeks ago on aim. it's still my email address and username for most things.

i was initially set on going with "robert" which is a reference to my name: "robert"...but that was already taken (and since i've yet to see this elusive "robert" post anywhere...thanks for taking my name, jerk...) so then at a loss for name (i don't know why i wasn't better prepared for such a simple name being taken...i guess not being well-prepared is my schtick...) i decided to just build upon it which led me to tack on the name of my band (which is a reference to the King Diamond song "The Family Ghost") in supreme punk fashion...5 seconds later i thought "oh god that's really fucking stupid" but it seemed too late so now here i am...huzzah!
