The Flowers of Romance, despite a completely dated 80s drum sound, remains very timeless. That's when you know you've made a good album, when it can stand timeless aginst the timbre of bad 80s production.
12/01/2006 I am 36 years old. I am listening to this album right now, this second. Timeless? Yes.

Miles, Kind of Blue
My favourite record of all time. I never get sick of it because I always hear something different every time.

Hhmm, I would choose Bitches Brew by Miles Davis !
What a glorious album !!!!!!
You got to listen to this album (in case you haven't) because this album IS the blueprint for all the techno, grunge, jazz that we hear today !
Such a masterpiece !
Thanks Miles !!!

Add in the EPs and singles.
not that I disagree or anything.
But - since I just bought two Bedhead CDs based primarily on the strength of the love for the band in this forum.
I have to say, in my own humble opinion, they are good. but not earth shattering. Nothing really new to me, it sounds like Galaxie 500 or Coedine, or lots of slow-core shoegazer stuff that I bought in the early 90s. And I think I like G500 or Coedine better.
I will obviously listen to it many more times before I make up my mind. I guess I was just expecting something different.
you guys have not steered me wrong, mostly tho. I have you to thank for Silkworm, Stnnng, New Black, and several other bands I have grown to love.

Stone Roses s/t is a record that sounds just as amazing now as it did when it was released.
I know this because not only do I listen to it regularly, but because a track from it was my alarm this AM.
Waking up to this record is not crap.
