The La's only record is about the best pop record that I can think of off of the top of my head.

Mark Robinson's Canada's Green Highways is a fine minimalist pop record.

Not easy to find though, and not on iTunes. You can usually find a cut out on Ebay for 5 bucks though, and it's worth it.
