Yes, I just outed myself as a bottled coffee drinker. That's because the coffee here at FIT SUCKS.

And the little "java stop" downstairs is not open on weekends. Run by students, doncha know, so if they don't give me good stuff I don't let them have the Dedolights.

It's all give and take

Last night was one of the rare occasions I had an espresso after dinner. I was bouncing of the g.d. walls! I re-hung most of my art work, wrangled with my new taxidermy, left chimpmunk messages on 45 voicemails, cleaned my bathroom and then had anxiety dreams about break-ins.

And now, here I am at work. An hour and a half early. Looking for shit to polish.

This drug should be saved for special occasions.

i can usually get a much better cup at the restaurant downstairs, but sometimes it's not open or there are too many people about. we have a coffee machien up here too, but once i get my next solid day job i'm not gonna have any coffee. i think it's best to learn to function without it.

acceptable:

.straight, insanely hot, preferably italian espresso style (which is not overdone as it is in the us...it's already hot and sweet and lighter, less clawing)

.skinny (skim milk, just a little bit)

.on occasion, skim milk plus a tiny bit of raw/demerara sugar. i think i've lapsed on the only-a-drop-of-milk fascism i've had before because i became a tea drinker and my habits from that crept over.

syrup and flavored creamers are a travesty (save 'em for soda, please), and sweet dessert flavors that appeal to housewives are embarrassing. sometimes i've embarrassed myself ("turtle" flavored coffee beans, hello...).

starbucks is never okay, no.
