It's a Cannon IXUS 3.2 meg pixel camera.

It's unkind to my wobbly hands but it's good for catching cheeky kittens interfering with your 'pooter.

Whether or not she is in league with the naughty goose, I couldn't say...

This is a Residents promo shot, surely?

Did anyone else find the audience reaction to Daniel Johnston's performance on Sunday a little upsetting? I felt that some people there had seen the movie and couldn't wait to visit the freak show.

I had very mixed emotions watching his performance but "amused" wasn't one of them.

I'm open to offers.

I was/am deeply suspicious about DJ's 'popularity' during the weekend. I quizzed a compadre's chum (a DJ fan) about it at length and he assured me that the the freak-show element was imagined (by me), but I remain unconvinced. I reckon at best there was (is) a huge element of condescension ("Aw! Look at the crazy guy having a good time! You go, crazy-guy!") and at worst it's a circus.

That said, I don't find anything of interest in his art, so perhaps I'm rather more sceptical than I might otherwise be.

I think it's hard to avoid wondering how many of his audience would react in the same way to him if he was their brother/son though; I think the perceived, shared 'love' of DJ in performance is probably a perversion of 'love'.

I dunno, maybe I'm way off.

Again, just total poetry. I'm almost regretting going to the festival as I feel with this level of insight I could have stayed at home and gathered as much enjoyment just from the reviews.

They have a song where the main lyric is "I miss you". If "gay" is a term you use often then I'm pretty sure they're happy being considered "gay".

I didn't get in to see Shellac on Sunday but I can't imagine any of them being 'wasted' ever.

That is awesome.

I hope when I'm 50 years old, I'm still playing really complicated noise-rock, sporting a Goth haircut, and calling people "faggot."

My quoting is awful, but he basically roasted this cat-walk kid and may have went a little over the top? Possibly cause he was wasted? He also came down into the crowd and held a snare drum against the kids head whilst smacking it, I and probably everyone else thought he was going to hit the dickhead in the face.

Bob called him a sap/sack of toss? at the end too, I think that hurt.

mmm, that bit was cool but not the outburst im talking about - i mean the bit where, while steve was trying to sing end of radio he grabbed the mic and started screaming at everyone over the top and cut steve off. he then started to tell the entire crowd that shellac was to complicated for them to understand and shit. u can tell when someone is pissed and when they are jokingly pissed. he was hungover man! really went crazy. anyway, certainly eventful and im glad i watched. it was killer up to that point. nice to hear crow. i just cant get over how much they kicked ass on the saturday. it literally was amazing. he is the best drummer ive ever seen. whole band was on.

slint was gay though, the first 2 were soul destroying. i love slint and that put me off ever seing them again to be honest! 2 of mogwai were watching and walked off about 10 minutes in!

i had a great time though, im just saying what i saw. im not asking everyone to agree, although if you think slint were anything other than crap up to don then you are probably shit.

You've missed the mark mate-Todd was hitting the drum randomly and just going all spazzy on the snare using no skill, then obviously joking when he said it was too complicated. Completely joking on that one.

Shellac were great on Saturday weren't they-everyone disagreed with me that that was the better performance because the center stage is a 'more intimate venue'. Fuck that though, it may be a good rule of thumb but it's not absolute.

Slint were great you big poop, who cares how Mogwai reacted, it was a really atmospheric performance and was really nice and relaxing.

I heard some kids calling him retard and spazz. 'The spazz has some merch set up' etc.

Fucking pricks. I only watched the friday performance, I felt pained and also touched, he came across as a sweet man and his performance was just like his records, rough as fuck but full of sweetness.
