Of course, there could've been a war futher down the road, maybe even a peaceful resolution. The civil war had a hell of a lot to do with the banking establishment. They funded both the south and north.

What exactly am I supposed to envision? A benevolent leader that does good for his people? I haven't come across one of those yet. I try to learn from the mistakes I see people making. More us should pay attention, and not sweep it under a rug, or try to whitewash it.

Mostly, though, I'm just using a quaint metaphor for the fact that our leaders care very little about the people of our nation as a whole. I understand it is a ridiculous statement.
