I've always thought of that record as sort of a concept album, chronicling the stream of conciousness (Watt is obsessed w/Ulysses) thoughts of a guy as he drives on the 10 freeway. Every once in a while he has to stop, so that's why there are sounds of car engines starting up all through the record.

I can't believe no one mentioned Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death.

From the "less popular bands" file, there is a minor indie band called Murder by Death whose latest album is The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves.

Dial M for Motherfucker is a pretty cool name for an album.

Also, though I dont remember, I bet I thought Daydream Nation was a great name when I first heard it.
