You have to hang something from them so that they catch the wind, and put it on some corner of the house that company doesn't see very often...

but, very nice.

There's a Glasgow band called someyoungpedro whose drummer uses a rototom basket to good effect.

Also, I think he did keep the tension rods and rim.

I remember Remo marketing the baskets themselves as "Remo Spoxe" in the 80's. That was a good decade for RotoToms.

Thanks, SOM.

I'll keep posting pics for sure. Started polishing the chrome hardware today because I'm held up on the drums while I wait for the finer sandpaper to come in. Looks pretty awesome. Blue Magic chrome polish did a nice job. This was after soaking everything in Simple Green for at least 24 hours at the suggestion of dontfeartheringo.

I'm goin' with the coated ambassadors on top. They're going to look real nice. Someone needs to burn down Guitar Center and the employees contained within. If I had to tell this asswipe the head sizes once, I had to tell him six times. Fucking clueless. Then the guy at the door who checks receipts needed to know why I bought these heads. He also told me all about his heads. Then he took some of the heads out of the packages and hit them with his finger. He did everything but autograph them.

Funny that I was thinking about restoring mine today, I sold it to a rehersal studio for £100 and bought it back many years later for £20.

This thread is going in my favourites, good luck and more pictures!!!!

The trick is stopping the fucking guitar player before he starts up there. I find that hurling drumsticks and beer bottles is an effective deterrent.
