Nomination and sentiments seconded.

I realise they're getting a bit formulaic now, but Melt Banana's Bambi's Dilemma gave a decent ride

Also, Big Business and Neurosis did it for me too.

Hey, I have somehow shared two of the same girlfriends as this guy.

I am not really into (SMOG) though. On paper, I should love him. It hasn't clicked so far.

I wonder if it's the same two girlfriends of his I'm connected to (albeit not romantically)? Nahh, probably not.

No joke, though. I am like two degrees removed from him through two different ladies.

Yeah I think he must be even more of a whore than me from the sounds of things.

You'd have to get up very early in the morning to be more of a whore than me. Plus he makes music! What a guy!

Because it hasn't been mentioned so far, maybe it's old hat stateside, but...

Grizzly Bear, Yellow House

Like gastr + Brian Wilson, but queerer. This album has some of the most infectious melodies I've heard in many, many years.

I hope that you're both being serious.

My next eldest brother will be thoroughly horrified if I ask him to get this as my Christmas present.

I certainly am, they make me want to jump up and down and go mad!

Can't speak for him of course, but I reckon that rashiedgarrison is too, and that they probably provoke a similar response (in private-same here actually). I bet their right up his Ali's Alley.
