What about flying your guitar, or pulling it out of a hat, or making it play itself?

Sure, but I would stop at fucking your guitar. That's just schtick.

Yeah...but like a lot guitarists, there's so much advanced onstage foreplay that it just seems silly not to

OK, it's schtick. But the burning question is this: is it also kitsch or camp?

Drummers who sing:
Brian Chippendale from Lightning Bolt
Dave Grohl from Nirvana (sang lotsa back up harmonies)
Grant Hart from Husker Du
Greg Saunier from Deerhoof
Yoshida from Ruins
Eric Gaffney from Sebadoh (well, he was playing guitar while sang but he was still 'the drummer')
Ringo Starr from some band apparently called "The Beetles"
Levon Helm from the Band
Karen Carpenter from the Carpenters
Animal from the Muppet Band
Admittedly, it seems incredibly hard to do this. It's hard enough to play bass and sing at the same time. As if drummers weren't doing twenty other things at the time.
