I have a TSR-8 and an MS-16, and I want to frankendeck them together into one good machine. The way I understand it, they're both modular in the same way, so that parts from one should work in the other, or at least some parts. I'm not up to speed on the heads at all though, how to recognize how much life they've got left, how to make all the proper adjustments for tensions and angles and bias and whatnot. So before I spend any money on those fancy tapes you need to set a machine up right, I want to at least know I'll be able to make a good deck out of the two.Eh?
