The final Hollywood Bowl episode of Analyze Phish came out yesterday and had some doozie moments/revelations. Surprising arcs for both hosts. haha That podcast is by far the best thing about that silly band. I'm sad it's over.

Phish is one of those bands (like Rush) that you never hear over here, because... well, I guess because they don't play gigs over here and their records are horrible. Obviously I'd hear ABOUT them from time to time, but never actually heard their music. So, in honour of this thread, I thought I'd sample some.Ok, so I wouldn't go so far as to say they can't play, but damn I wasn't expecting it to be quite so mild and bland. They sound like a Christian wedding band that's been told to keep it down a notch.

I'm pretty sure I used to hate this band, but, because I love and respect FM Jeff Fox I will give it another good try before voting crap. Is that objective enough? Probably not.

I recently listened to A Picture of Nectar the other day and I still think it's a pretty great album. I never listened to anything they did after A Live One but from the the stuff I've heard, I really don't understand the hatred for this band at all.
