i'll also fuck the shit out of barcade if they have burger time.

like, balls deep.

No Burger Time, sorry. But they have Robotron, Joust, an original Asteroids (circa 1979), Donkey Kong, Centapede, Gauntlet and others. great D.J. bar food It's about 5-10 minutes from Relax. Actually, the main reason I recommended it is I can walk there and my friends own it. It's only beer and wine and soju (as is Relax).

Jumbo's Clown Room is a tiny strip bar down the street from Relax. Probably a bit crowded on Sat. night but kind of fun.

There's also a Thai restaurant next to Relax. (lots of good Thai food; it's Thai Town don't you know).

I'd like to meet up before the show, although I may not be able to see H.M. as I have to get up at 6am Sunday. I might risk it though.

I'm coming from Whittier, so I am not local. (awesome sentence!)

Mr. Sowley, I know you are a gigantic beast of a furry man and you make people want to hug you.

That's all I know.

I don't know who told you that, but thanks? This West Coast heat is making me sweat more than usual (not nearly as bad as New Orleans) so i don't know how hugable i'll be.

I can assure you though that i'll be wearing a zz-top t-shirt and i'm a big goon, so...it shouldn't be hard.

Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) makes it next to impossible to get a full license at a new location. I think you can only buy them from the previous owner, and if you build a new place there's a lifetime of hassles. Besides community and LAPD approval, I think you have to enter a drawing as well. Then it's some ridiculous price, like $20G.
Beer and wine license is like $600 and no problems, which explains the popularity of soju martinis and so forth. Try a saki bomb.

Risk it!

Is Jumbo's still around? Jeez, I'm old.

I may risk it. It's been too long since I've had my face slayed.
Jumbo's is still the same, except no nipples, thanks to the aforementioned ABC.
