They were probably too embarrassed by the crap uniforms they have to wear every time. Once they saw the Italian and US teams natty outfits they decided to stay in and watch it on telly.

I was watching the US women's soccer team thrash the All-Blackettes while I was having my morning coffee today. (To be fair, the NZ women's team looked far better than I've seen them in the past.)

The men's gymnastics team all-around was pretty exciting last night. An improbable bronze for the US.

I'm currently watching the Olympics every day. It's good shit, and you do get into it. I forgot about those odd sports too, like archery and rifle shooting. I'd like it if they added darts too.
