One of youse recommended I try Reaper back when I was having issues with Sonar LE, and I owe a debt of gratitude. It's cheap, portable, and the license allows me to use it on as many of my machines as I want, which is great now that I'm in the process of migrating a bunch of old projects over to Reaper for remixing and some retracking, since the instruments and the computer that I use for tracking and mixing are downstairs, but all my old projects are on my bedroom computer.
