It's pretty great - I am more a JB guy than a PB guy and the covers on the SX have made me shift where I was resting my thumb (on the fretboard instead of on the pickup) which I'm really liking. I don't quite like the neck 100% but I'd be pushed to say exactly why - I probably like a 7.25 radius I guess, this is 9.5 I believe.
Edit - apparently 12”, wtf.

7.25 is really old school! I don't think I've ever played a guitar/bass with that radius, I'd be interested to try it out. All my guitars are either 9.5 or 12-16 compound, can't say I really perceive much of a difference, honestly.

You probably have and just don't know it. All Fender's made through the mid 80's were 7.5 and even now, with 9.5 being more common, something like a third of all new Fenders are 7.5.

My Strat is a '72 reissue with a 7.25 radius neck. I prefer it to 9.5.

Yeah 80-90% of my guitars are 7.25, it’s more comfortable in the hand for me. Specifically for a bass I like a narrow neck which is pretty round, makes playing kind of effortless.

First time I've ever posted in one of these threads proper.
I call this the Precision Yuletide Bass:
It's a Made in Mexico P-Bass I got from Guitar Center for about $275 off the normal price via a sale a week or so before Christmas.
Swapped in the groovy red pickguard for the brown one, and some AG 4P-60s for the stock pickups. Getting the intonation/action/etc. worked out soon and am currently exploring different string options (via trial and error).
I LOVE playing this thing. Wouldn't trade it for anything else, as foolish as that might sound.
Don't care about the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, the Oscars, this or that controversy, blahblahblah--if you need me I'll be in my room playing this thing.

Nice! That same p bass caught my eye at GC recently, really like that color. I would've bought it if I didn't have 2 basses (I rarely play) already.

Thanks. Yeah, GC must have had an overstock or something. But fortunately this one had no issues and was playable out of the box. It's a swell first bass.

Rick Nielsen by all accounts I've heard, is a great guy, and loves talking gear with anyone. Maybe FM steve can comment.
