Since putting down the booze, I’ve come to enjoy these ‘drinking vinegars’, usually mixed with soda water or tonic and some aromatics. It sounds kinda gross on paper, but these spirit free drinks have a lot of the complexity of cocktails that I miss.
Apple Cider vinegar, honey, and sparkling water is quite nice.

I’ve basically had to stop drinking for medical reasons. Being 40+ I developed Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome about 3 years ago… drinking booze equals getting up every 30mins during the night and pretty uncomfortable lower back pain… so it’s been a land of discovery for NA and ultra low beers.

So two good ones so far Lucky Saint and Beavertown’s 0 and ultra low. There’s also a London based brewery called Small Beers that brew traditional ultra low alcohol beers… the kind kids used to drink before a hard day cleaning limbs out of looms.

I lived in Azerbaijan for a bit and used to drink that all of the time. There is also a Georgian soft drink made from tarragon that I liked.
I was surprised to discover a grape soft drink there made from saperavi grapes - which are used for an outstanding wine. Concord grape flavor is an American thing, I guess?

Every time I visit Bulgaria, I try boza to see if I get it yet. So far, nope. It is a sweetened, very slightly fermented drink made from millet.
