The excellent sampler CD by Cardiacs now seems to be unavailable. There is a CD out on Org records featuring some nice Cardiacs songs, mainly from the 'Sing To God' albums I think.

Regarding the Oxes tour I just found out today that they're also playing Glasgow Barfly on June 12th and Edinburgh Subway (with Moniack!) on June 13th.

See you at one or both.....

Unfortunately, I can't access music files from my work computer - a couple of non-comp LP titles is what I'm after. Suggestions ?

"On Land And In The Sea" (1989)
"Sing To God" (1996)

Both on the Alphabet label - see www.cardiacs.com for details.

Both fine choices, however Sing To God is rather hard to find - also note it's two albums, imaginatively called Part 1 and Part 2.

A Little Man And A House And The Whole World Window is great from start to finish.
All the Cardiacs albums were re-released on CD about 10 years ago but are now somewhat scarce. This may be due to the mysterious workings of the Alphabet Business Concern, the identities of whom are not even known by the Cardiacs themselves, apparently.

Actually it was released as a double album *and* as two single albums (the Part 1 and 2 to which you refer). The double was a limited edition but there are still quite a few around. Probably their very best work so far.

They can all still be ordered from Plastichead I believe, but best to get them directly from the band.
