thanks my friend midgett for the breakdown of how you handle the financial aspects of online play. i’ve been bogged down with so many things recently i haven’t had a chance to dive into the world of playing with money. soon though!

Hey Walter, thought you had to chill out on the gambling for a bit? Watch yourself man.

hi elron. it was sports gambling. i got in way over my head in the past so now i don’t do it anymore. online limit poker gambling isn’t that big of deal. the problem i had was before i had kids so now i wouldn’t ever do anything that might risk their situation. i learned my lesson. i don’t get a rush playing poker like i did gambling on sports.

it's at http://www.poker-edge.com . My links in the doc are wrong.

I haven't even used it yet because everytime I'm about to, I read about how every site is banning it. If you even have it installed on your computer, Party Poker will send you a nasty email.

I have a free year of it, and would really like to try it, but don't need to get banned at any of the sites.

Let me know if you use it and how it goes.

Are any of you guys bloggers too?

If you are, there's a free PokerStars tournament for bloggers:

http://www.pokerstars.com/blog_tournament/

Maybe you guys already know about it.

I've never played any online poker at all, but people tell me that the PS tournaments are good. The prizes seem kinda cool - the grand prize is a seat to their January tournament in the Bahamas, which is a very fun tournament to be at.

DISCLAIMER: PokerStars has hired me in the past to photograph their events, including the 2005 Caribbean Adventure. I may very well be photographing the 2006 one too. I'm not posting this as a shill. Just making you aware of this event.

I've tried to keep a "journal" of sorts about my playing. It's fun to go back and read after a while. Don't know how interesting it would be to other people though. I also haven't posted to it since April.

PokerStars has the best tournament software as well as the best blind structure.

I need to check again to see how many player points I have there because once you have enough, you can start your own private tournaments. I've often wanted to do EA Forum tournaments. I'll look into this.

That's awesome. We're you one of the press people that showed up at this year's WSOP at the beginning of the main event, or were you there the whole month?

I was *supposed* to shoot this year's WSOP (working for someone else) but he screwed me over.

Badly.

And now he must die.

I should have gone anyway, but I got a day job that paid really well, and couldn't pass that up.

Hey Russ, could you put the guide back up?

My friend is trying to get me into online poker (pacificpoker.com) but the game moves so fast I don't really understand much but the basics.
