Crap. If for nothing else, for this: The whiniest and worst piece of shit ever committed to record.

Did anyone at the label tell them that "the most loneliest day" is terrible grammar? For that matter, did anyone tell them that the song sucks?

How is this possible? as it stands right now the negative voters are just slipping past with a D +! This is a sad day for the EA forums.

I can understand not liking SOAD but to lump them in as nu metal sheep music? not really.
BYOB has an awesome guitar hook that makes the verse almost bearable.
http://music.yahoo.com/track/18835305
Its one of the best hooks on the radio, of course "thats not saying much" w/ bands like QOTSA and Foo Fighters on the radio (sat radio not commercial)
I like about 4-5 SOAD songs and usually about 20-50% of each song. In the world of -most songs on every album from every band suck- thats good enough for a not crap from me.
and no I wont defend the lyrics, I actually wished I never read the lyrics for BYOB since the lyrics I thought they were are actually better.
Even my girlfriend who hates fast psuedo hardcore music agrees that the BYOB hook is righteous (dunno why I used that adj, neither of us ever do)
unfortunately their videos and lyrics make their music worse

I liked the first SOAD album when I was a kid. I pulled it out a few days ago, I've definitely heard worse, it's just not my "cup o' tea" anymore.

When I turned the channel on, Foo Fighters were backing the singer of System of a Down, and they were playing Holiday in Cambodia by the Dead Kennedys. Pretty weird seeing -that- on Mtv, I'll tell ya.
I was going to say this as well.
System of a Down
they are ok - not great - but not crap
I owned their first album or whichever one had "Sugar" on it.
but playing "holiday in Cambodia" on MTV
total crap

I somehow have two albums by these guys and never listen to them, yet whenever I try and delete them I end up letting them go. Why? I don't get it.
"Sugar" is hilarious.

damn it thanks to this thread I cant get that
"
Wake up! goingoishgoingosigdsgwsdterhgyr4ufjosi Make up!
self righteous suicide"
business out of my head... I never even liked that song that much at all, but now I cant stop head/hearing it
as far as SOAD absurd photo shoots and looks, i mean they are a rock band from L.A. so in *that* context they are very average looking
