I too only knew of Michael from his drumming on Silkworm records, (sorry, but I'm not familliar with the Dials or the Returnables) but considering the atmosphere at work today (a couple friends at work were friends of his)...all I can say is: Tim, Andy, and the extended SKWM/EA family I'm truly sorry...my thoughts are with you. This is just tragic...
Keep a candle burning in the window tonight.

This was just on the news, the lead story on channel 7. Such a terrible turn of events. My heart goes out to the guys, their families and their friends.
The driver has been charged with three counts of first degree murder and denied bond. She is still in the hospital with minor injuries.

Yes, I just read my email with the terrible news and went up and saw it on the channel 5 news as well. Horrible. Horrible.
When there is a place to send condolences and respects to the families I hope it is posted here.
Terrible terrible news.

First let my most heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased. This is a terrible tragedy.
I cannot fathom how selfish this person who comitted this could be.
Accidents happen, yet to do harm to others because of your shortcomings is unthinkable.
A terrible loss for what end?

Unbelievable.
I had the pleasure of knowing Doug after recording the Dials last year. He struck me as being one of the nicest guys with an appreciation for good humor. We since then became good friends. He and Michael were a lot alike. They were both people who were totally honest and true. It sounds like cliché, but they both were the best.
I didn't get to know John that well. He was great the few times I did get to hang out with him
I feel sick.

This is terrible, terrible news. I'm honestly on the verge of tears thinking about how I'm never gonna see him play again. My deepest of deepest sympathys to you, SKWM.
I'm gonna listen to Firewater now. I'm gonna get to "Don't Make Plans This Friday" and I'm almost surely gonna cry.
