i have no problem with diverse t-shirts. it's just something that increased the feeling of "where am i? why is a wide segment of the population flipping out over this?" etc.
i've never heard the bands you speak of, and i don't really listen to the stuff that's most popular on the ea forums.

I think this speaks volumes about the diversity and appeal of their music. I'm thirty-five-years old; way past feeling that one of my favorite bands should only be appreciated by the lucky few, (though I am loathe to admit the slight twinge of wtf every now and again).
My apologies for making assumptions about the music you enjoy.

63the assumptions are reasonable -- the most popular things on this forum seem to be things albini played on (shellac, big black etc.) and/or recorded (jesus lizard, don cab etc.) as well as the melvins, helmet, ac/dc, godflesh, slint etc. i'm more into, say, the residents.

Song on an upcoming soundtrack to some crap movie starring Dane Cook. Fun song! I've listened to it maybe ten times already because I'm stupid like that. Enjoy.

69I've heard more about these guys than I have their music. Going to see them at the Aragon - hopefully my experience is a bit more positive than trilonaut's (altho I'm not going with my mom and if I was I'm sure we wouldn't be smoking pot).

The dent is from my babysitter dropping me when I was a wee one. The side of my head hit the corner of a wooden armrest. This required about six stitches. Gives my shit character.

Just don't pay attention to any hippie douchebags in the crowd. I don't get it either, but they come in droves. It will be a fun show. Say hello!
