Now: Annoying.

Here is what is annoying to me, the outermost layer of a multitude within a summer which has been both most unsettling and fucked:


The Lady, she owns a condo.

The condo, she is one of 20 or so in a partial revamp/newly constructed building.

This building, she has some of the roof leaking problems, affecting both common area/outer roofs and walls and unit-owned interior ceilings and floors.
Damp cinderblocks on one side of the building, warping wood floors along the units' walls on the other side.

This building, she had a contractor.

This ex-contractor, he is also a unit owner. Let's call him Walt.

This Walt, he is a nice guy, but mebbe a little shady. Also, a de-facto member of the condo association.

This condo association, they have been working for more than two years to square these problems (and others) with Walt to try and resolve these issues.

These attempts at resolution have consisted of the condo association documenting everything and getting quotes, and Walt responding by denying anything is wrong.

This situation, she has reached the retainment of legal counsel stage.

This legal counsel, she advises to take steps towards litigation as no progress has been made.

This litegation, she shall only be initiated via special assessment fees for three months = an additional 125% [actually 175% - ed.] over regular assesment fees.

This special assessment, which sucks badger nuts, she was approved last night at the condo board meeting.

This situation, she means that, in essense, as a condo-owning member of the association,

Walt the former contractor/current owner is suing Walt the former contractor.

WALT IS SUING WALT.

WALT IS SUING HIMSELF.

I like this method of problem-rectifying. I like it so much that I want to suggest someone buy me tickets to said Shellac show and plane tickets to Seattle so that I may rectify some of my own, less-board-discussed problems. Thanks in advance.
