Some people are also saying that there's almost too much gain available.
Taper is a little off but not that level of difference. I’ve seen some significant taper differences with some manufacturers, but I bet it’s someone with active pickups or something.
Similarly with the complaint about the gain- it’s a lot but the manual straight up says “0-12 is normal amount of gain, above 12 gives an extreme amount.”
Probably people that think everything has to be above 5 no matter what or it’s not right

I think that's exactly it.

Made me laugh. I almost never use them, 98% of the time I'm either neck or bridge, but I agree, with good pickups they can actually be alright. Good for chicka chicka funk. Or Sweet Home Alabama.

I feel the same about the in between spots on teles and humbuckers.

Blumes middle position also very cool on synths to add some dirt - gain on like 0.5. At least in my room added some very perceivable noise which I wasn't upset about at all. s

Trace Elliot V-Type Heads (V4 & V6):

I couldn't not take this photo. I wanted to put them all on top of my 8x10, but my basement ceiling is too low by an inch.

I can see why people really like these things. They're lighter than an SVT. They seem to be built pretty well. They can get grindy if you crank the gain. Less midrange-forward than an SVT. Kinda neutral, takes pedals well. Loud AF.

There was a whole saga about that one. Picked it up for $100 last year and spent a bunch of time cleaning it up: https://www.premierrockforum.com/viewto ... 26#p814026

I don't know, this V6 gives it a run for its money. 400 W RMS advertised.

There's approximately 1320 all-tube Watts available in that photo.
