i learned from a very good dog walker that for most people it's about their own egos; the people want the dogs to like them. that's why they coo and put their hands in animals' faces. i'm convinced he's right.

Cesar Millan, man! That's his whole point. Trying to persuade the dog to like you is human communication. Teaching it that you're the leader and that what you want is what it wants is dog communication.

It's true. My guy up there at the top of the page, he looks sweet and so idiots will bend down and go "eepy deepy squeeeky goo goo" and come millimeters away from getting a full face lift, doggy style. If they just ignore him he'll be perfectly chill and make friends in no time.

He turned eight last month and got his driver's license.

Anybody else here celebrate their pets birthdays? Like cook steak and stuff for them, and leave the biscuit box open all day? Cuz I do.

I believe these are the cutest doggies I've seen for a while.

Bah! So cutiest! I celebrate my cats birthdays. :)

Have you ever had a pet just suddenly change their routine one day?

Percy, just since yesterday, has started lying down at the water bowl when he wants a drink:

GOD DAMN, DUDE! I KNOW YOU ARE AN INDOOR HOUSECAT, BUT COME ON! THERE'S 'LAZY' AND THEN THERE'S 'L-A-Z-Y', LIKE SLOTH, NO!?

P.S. He is not ill in any way, and is on his feet all day throughout the day as before... but he apparently just up and decided "Why the fuck do I need to be standing up to drink water out of this bowl?"
