He can't pardon himself for the Georgia stuff, because those are state charges, right?

Yeah. Can you imagine the crazy legal workings if it played out that way? Uncharted territory.

Correct.

And even this Supreme Court wouldn’t allow him to pardon himself, as it would create a lawless and unimpeachable monarch. (He’d still get, like, three votes though.)

He'd still try, if only to stall everything while it plays out in court so he can talk about it nonstop and eventually croak without having ever set foot in a prison.

The New York court system is notoriously lenient with white collar criminals, which is why Trump never went to jail in the past.

Plus Trump greased a lot of palms (mostly Democrat) with lots of campaign cash so people would treat him well once they got into elected office.

Fulton County, Georgia briefly posted the criminal charges against Trump on their web site, which was quickly taken down, but Reuters grabbed a copy before they did and posted them here: https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-state- ... 023-08-14/

DA* Fani Willis indicated that they were inaccurate.. hmm, I'm thinking just not finalized.

(edit: I originally called her a judge... doh)

Apparently they're going past 5 pm with witnesses. Rushing it because of Trump's witness tampering? Possibly going to see Donald jailed sooner rather than later.
