Electro Harmonix Eddy - I’ll probably rarely if ever use the chorus on it, but the vibrato - mamma mia! It does the warped record/wow and flutter sound I’ve been looking for for a long time. Love it.

Noise Ensemble - utterly chaotic sounding fuzz based on a PT2399 chip. 2 knobs, volume and chaos. The chaos knob increases the amount of gated fuzz, reverb, chorus delay and vibrato all in one. I fucking LOVE this thing already. Sounds like this:

That vibrato is nice. If you like just the Vibrato, for half the price you should check out the T.C. Electronic Shaker Vibrato.

I like to use my Shaker with a 3rd Dimension Chorus. It's nice to see both of these things in the same pedal though. The Eddy chorus reminds me of the 3rd Dimension, getting that sweet 80's Crimson vibe. Love that it has an expression pedal input.

It’s got a VCF too, so you can set it so that if you hit a chord hard the depth or speed of the vibrato or chorus increases then slows down, or vice versa. Very cool.

I have yet to find super slow vibrato in pedal form: slow to the point of sounding less like a guitar effect and more like a fucked up turntable. That would really mess with some heads live.

I think this is kind of the whole deal with the ZVex Instant Lo-fi Junky pedal. I've never played one, but I've heard good things!

my Demedash Video Tape Echo kinda does a better version of that thing already (and I fuckin' love it) but even then, I wish I could slow down the warble waaaay more!

The TC Shaker, that's how I use it. Very slow vibrato to make the guitar seem a little off, like a warped record. I am trying to get the same feel in the X3, but it's missing one knob that the shaker has. So far, I haven't been really impressed with the toneprints. I don't know why all the effects only have 3 options, they could have easily just done one knob to control multiple digital knobs. I can get it close enough to the pedals I have, so the only real thing going for it is that you can get a lot of effects in a small space, most of the effects getting 90% of what you can from the pedal. Unsure if that's a good trade off, but I need to play with it more.

I also have a Malekko 616 Analog Delay which has a mod switch that is very much like the Shaker and can get super slow. I used to use on my delays, but instead moved to the Shaker so I had a stomp option to turn it on/off and not be connected to a delay.

I haven't used it yet, but I bought the Phasevibe combo plugin from Nembrini Audio. They also just released a standalone app to run VSTs in. Really cool if you want to use a laptop with mid controls as your amp. But, really, if you're looking for options in recording, you can try their stuff out for free. They have a big sale right now, too.
