Huey "Piano" Smith, the New Orleans R&B legend who, among many other things, wrote "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie-Woogie Flu," and was the man behind Frankie Ford's "Sea Cruise." His music was pure joy you can dance to.

I haven’t dove deeply into their catalog, but is there any actually good Weather Report? Did they ever have a Bitches Brew phase? Nothing I’ve heard suggests that they did, but nothing I’ve heard has made me want to investigate, either.

I haven't heard it myself, but have heard the first record is decent. Heavy Weather is one of the worst albums ever, though.
