Given this latest attempt at a Ukraine peace deal, I think it's being re-enforced more strongly that the pee-tape was for sure real.

If anybody wanted to send their kids to die on a battlefield in service of European fraternity they’ve had plenty of opportunity. At this point Trump is doing Zelensky a favor while the Europeans are ready to let every last Ukranian die just to prove just how much Putin is in the wrong. Watch Zelensky get a golden parachute with a book deal and speaking engagements as part of his bargain to escape his troubles at home, and everybody can go back to stroking their egos and getting lucrative reconstruction contracts for their cousin’s firm.

Europe is happy to sit back at this point because they know the US is a bad faith actor and in the next 3years and some months, will not back Article 5 of Nato, We will see war in Europe, and then war in Asia in the next 2-4 years and the USA will not be involved.
