Started watching a dramatic supernatural series set in 1845 about a couple of Royal Navy ships getting frozen and stuck in the Arctic Ocean called The Terror. Two episodes in and so far it's pretty great.
On Shudder
It's also on Netflix now.
We watched S1 over the long weekend. Loved it. A string of episodes were made of pure dread and this was the first thing in which I've really seen Jared Harris. He was outstanding.
It was a little heavy, so we'll be giving it a minute before diving into S2.

Thanks for the heads-up, I've always wanted to see this.
The late Marcus Fjellström, a pleasant and talented acquintance who passed in 2017, did the music for season 1.

Re-signed up for Apple TV just for this.
Same! Although I'll probably use my month to watch Schmigadoon! and Black Bird too.

We've been watching The Great on Hulu, it's an 'occasionally true story' about Catherine the Great. Elle Fanning is good, but Nicholas Hoult is great as the emperor. Lots of bawdy, LOL lines per episode.
Another show I've been drawn into from the other side of the couch. It's very witty with absolutely brilliant performances all around. It kind of reminds me of The Death of Stalin, just with a bit less satire.
It turns out it was created by a writer on The Favourite and Poor Things which tracks.

I just got through the first four. It’s great. A bit weird because it’s filmed in my borough so I keep seeing very familiar places out of sequence. The scene where the journalist is followed has no relation to the actual route, it’s just a bunch of random locations then Paddington… I remember this from Run Lola Run. Her run across Berlin was just a random sequence of key Berlin landmarks.
Max’s cafe is a block from my office. It’s hilarious Slough House is above that Italian place opposite the Barbican Centre.

I really really need to watch that, I love the director and everything I've heard is positive.

Netflix
Kaos. I've only seen the first episode so far, but it's intriguing. If a show can be too on the nose and yet still clever, this one manages that.
