You aren't busted. I had forgotten that I mentioned it back then. Back in the pre-insanity times!

the Afghan Whigs' Gentlemen seems to hit the spot, oddly enough, when applied.

Nomeansno have some cracking going-off-the-nut moments, there's always at least one on every record. Kill Everyone Now, Dance of the Headless Bourgoisie, A Little Too High... It seemed so appropriate that last time the Hanson Bothers played London it was at The Verge...

anyone else noticed that The Pop Group are one of those bands mentioned by these new-fangled punk-funk bands in order to appear contemporary?
seems mad to me.
I rent my studio off one of them.
The Pop Group, not a new fangeled punk-funk band.

Have you heard Smile from the Streets You Hold? If Niandra Lades... is "going" insane record, Smile... is "long gone"...
yeah, his next two records ("smile from the streets you hold," "to record water for 10 days") are practically unlistenable, definitely long gone.
Actually most of
Smile... was recorded at the same time as the stuff on
Niandra[.../i], so it would still be in his "going insane" phase, and while [i]To Record.... falls in his post-panoramic-view-of-oblivion, "new teeth" period.
I really like both of those 3 albums, although I've hung onto my copies of
Niandra... and
Smile.... I don't think
Smiles... is a particularly recommendable album, but I really like it. Really,
really like it. So much so, I bought a second copy in case something happens to my first.
It's all that Record Collection crap he put out that I find unlistenable.

The first Throwing Muses record, from the standpoint of both the listener and the artist, is difficult to top. One of my favorites.

Alien by Strapping Young Lad.
The song "Shitstorm" says it all.

I know this tune. I laugh whenever I see a picture of these guys.

Devin Townsend is a madman, but a damn good songwriter, IMHO.

Charles Mingus' "Black Saint & The Sinner Lady."
one of the best studies in schizophrenia and heartbreak.
