Despite having little sleep and achy legs, UZEDA forced me to watch every single second of their set. I had shivers after each of their songs ended on a James Brown-esque dime. Absolute Brilliance from people that looked like someone's Aunts/Uncles.

Shellac has a special power of not only delivering crushing riffs, but an uncanny, methodical, and near unconscious power of locking a listener in to what they were doing. During the quiet parts of "End of Radio" everyone around me stood absolutely still. It was inspiring.

See, I agree but that couldn't have been Pinback on stage. A bunch of mid-management CPAs staged a pod-people takeover of the regular bandmembers, slithered up the stage, ate Tim Tuten alive (yay) and then made me die of boredom (boo).

I think it's quite obvious living in southern california and being poor has major setbacks from time time.

I was actually up front for most of their set, more to stay warm amongst the throng than anything else, but I was paying attention. I think I wrote better songs when I was 14. The lyrics made me cringe.

Since I was only able to attend this epic event was through the kindness and generosity of the people in this forum, I thought I'd share the wealth and upload the clips I took throughout the 2nd the 3rd days to my youtube.

Quality is sub-perfect, for obvious reasons (like being pushed around by drunken dudes, or being so blown away to the point I couldn't hold my hand still... ), but it's still a worth-while memory to share with those who were and those who weren't there.

It's funny how sometime you have to travel halfway around the globe in order to finally feel totally at home.
