Unfortunately, this is the motto of a lot of family planning. People who can't take care of themselves find that they are now in a situation that not only are they responsible for their own care, but for a completely helpless needy creature.

I don't have children of my own because I could not be absolutely sure of their care and well being for 20 years. I made a conscious choice and paid (literally and emotionally) for 2 abortions.

I realize that I am missing out on one of the greatest joys a person could experience (parenthood), but if I make a commitment, its for the long haul, through thick and thin.

It's the ultimate in selfishness and ego out of control. That little you did not ask to be born, and this life thing you are forcing upon it sucks consistent cocks for almost everyone always. It's fucking hard and it's a fucking struggle every step of the way.
Some 'gift' this 'gift of life' you bestow upon your screechy little fucking demon seed.
But you wanted a little you to look up at you and think you are god.
Fuck that shit.
If it were up to me we'd all stop having babies and the human race would fade away after this generation.
Good riddance.
The animals could have the earth and not have to worry about people fucking everything up for them with their bullshit.
So yeah, fuck that shit.

Wow. I want to give you a hug.

I'm glad other people have/want kids and enjoy them, but I hope you all understand the constant and unabating pressure this world puts on a female of child-bearing age to breed. And then, once a child is had, you're supposed to completely put aside your life, career, creativity, and any kind of grown-up activities or hobbies to be a 24 hour a day mommy. I'm sorry but I think it's much easier for all you males to say you want/enjoy/love kids because you aren't the ones who have to be pregnant, give birth, nurse. You aren't the ones still expected to keep a tidy house, keep the kids occupied, cook dinner, do dishes, laundry. Maybe you do this stuff to "help out the wife" and that's great, but I hope you see what I'm getting at. It's still all on her. To the women who have the desire to do all that, salut. I'm just not one of them.[/rant]

There are certainly some men who would roll like that in a relationship. But there are plenty who would find the situation as appalling as you do.

I am far from baby-crazed, but I like those little wonder-filled poo machines. I like their doughy forms and I really like being around good parents who are engaged in teaching and loving their kids.
