When XFM were trying to get their licence by doing month long trial runs in the mid nineties, they were excellent. I woke up to NoMeansNo once.
When they got their licence, the first year was brilliant (and was when they would just get Gervais to sit in on shows, just cos he was funny and pushed the boat out a bit).
When Capitol Radio bought them, they became shit. End of story. Resonance FM was great. I haven't heard it for a long time though.
Now I live in Middlesbrough. I do not listen to the radio ever.
So can anyone tell me what the BBC have done to follow John Peel's show?
