If I have time maybe I will catch a game.

I've been to Boston before, I just need to know if I am Crap for wanting to go.

I crave the approval of Ye Olde Electrical Board Denizens.

You should definitely go! There are good places in Beantown. I would show you around, but that's the TapeOp weekend :-(

I loved the city. It was expensive to live there, but there was always plenty to do, plenty of good people, good bars, good restaurants and they actually have public transportation, that's a plus in my book.

NOT CRAP!!!

Bumping this because I'm spending the weekend there in two weeks, and want to know where I can find some stuff to shoot when I'm not busy seeing Jandek.

I want stuff like this:

In Your Ear
Twisted Village
Mars Records
Newbury Comics
Planet Records
Mystery Train
Nuggets

But I haven't lived there in a long time so some of these might suck now or no longer be there.

In Your Ear is still around but moved over to near Harvard Square. Jeff Connolly from the Lyres used to work there...still probably does. He's usually pretty amusing.

Nuggets is still in Kenmore Square and is still great.

Newbury Comics is good (Newbury Street, Downtown, Harvard Square). They are mostly carrying CDs these days.

In Your Ear and Nuggets are the best bet for vinyl. Mystry Train used to be great but I think they only operate up in Gloucester now. The other shops may still be around but I haven't heard of them.

Planet used to be in Kenmore Square, near the Rat, but it is now in Hvd Square, were Boston Compact Disc used to be.

Second Coming i remember being spotty but good.

Also, that place in Central Square - is it Cheapo? - that place was always good for a laff.

In your ear was always the best, tho. Peter prescott works there now, I believe.

Boston is a great town, don't believe the haterz.
