She is much more style than substance.Often boring and repetitive, but occasionally interesting.

She seems like a bright, interesting, strange person who is doing something that has meaning for her. As a pop star, I think it's probably the fact that her work has meaning for her that seperates her from other 'artists' of similar status.
I don't 'like' anything she's done since the first Sugarcubes record, but I guess that doesn't make her 'CRAP'.

I've been a casual admirer but never much of a fan. Never owned an album. But I saw her perform live a few weeks ago and she knocked me on my ear. It was inspiring and completely captivating. There were gimmicky elements to some of the stage stuff, but she is no gimmick. Wild and uncompromising. I felt I was in the presence of something singular and, against all appearances, pure. No peers.
I read an interview with the Matmos guys talking about working with her. Apparently they couldn't get her to stop being melodic. They were constantly like, "no, no, we want weird, unclassifiable and inhuman sounds, not clear, perfect Bjork sounds. Stop it."
I am really happy she exists.

Not Crap just for
Birthday. I don't think I could make it through any of her newer / electronica stuff. Harumph.

Homogenic is where it's at for Bjork. Everything after that has sort of been downhill IMO. Haven't check out her latest yet.
NOT CRAP.
