He called me one night to tell me about the joy that is MOS burger.

I felt like I was missing out.

A week or so later, he asked me what my work schedule was, and what time the FedEx guy came. I told him the delivery times, and he told me to make sure I was around when the delivery guy came in the AM the next day.

Sure enough, the next day I got in some special dry-ice package a Masu Baagaa, a Rosu Katsu Baagaa, some onion rings and one of those red bean shakes they serve.

This is a beautiful story. Totally Banana Yoshimoto!

I was there last night, too.

I went on Thursday and had the Yob. Drooly good. And they were showing "Faster" so I got to watch Valentino Rossi smoke Max Biaggi every time I looked up from my plate. Excellent. The date and I then split a Mastadon because we are fucking gross.

We had three burgers, three beers and a glass of Knob Creek. Our bill was $30.

Last night I had the Hate Beak and it was incredible. Perfect Buffalo sauce, juicy chicken. I believe I will eat this sandwich around 30 more times this summer. I thought it might be obnoxious in there at 9pm on a Saturday, but no wait and low douche factor.

If they had pinball, I might move in.

I think I'd to need to go with a couple of people to go the mac and cheese route. Just so I know I have burger access should it not be as lovely as I want.

Is great.

How long has this place been open?

It opened a little over two years ago. No one knew of it earlier because they just recently (in the past year) started their burger menu. Initially they had different entree options but that wasn't working out for them so well. As we all know they have now hit pay dirt with this burger menu thing. My only fear is that it will get too crowed. The last time I went in with a lady friend and I had to leave. There were no seats and people were packed in all down the bar. We were starving and needless to say it was going to take a while to sit down and eat.

i knew of it earlier - i was going there back in sept 05 when they first opened. at the time, they had a really great brunch. then they switched staff/cook and the brunch got shitty (this would have been late nov 05) and i didn't go there for a while. took a second chance on them back in july 06 when i found out that they had the elusive rogue chipotle ale & i was re-hooked... i do miss some of the dinner entrees and am hoping that the don't remove the remaining bits of the old menu (especially the mussels cause those are some tasty bivalve motherfuckers). anyway, i'm stoked as hell that they've gotten solid again - their service and their bloody marys have been awesome this whole time. also - last year they threw a hella fun 1 year anniversary party so keep eyes open for round 2. ok - enough geeking....

The mac n cheese was very mild in flavor, but it was a high quality meal, so I rate it as being good.

The Yob. Hmm. I don't know if it's because I had it cooked medium-rare or what, but it seemed pretty flavorless. It tasted like "wet"

Good heads up on the Mac and Cheese. I've been waiting for that. The YOB and mastodon are on deck for me. It looks like I'll go Mastodon first.
